AMMAN, Jordan — Alsaid Foundation and King’s Academy launch youth-led Arabic literacy initiative
The Alsaid Foundation has partnered with King’s Academy to launch the Huroof Al-Amal (Letters of Hope) initiative, a youth-led effort to promote Arabic literacy among children in underserved communities across Jordan, the foundation announced Friday, Dec. 13.
The program centers on the creation and distribution of handmade Arabic alphabet learning packets designed to support early literacy and foster a love for reading. Students and educators at King’s Academy will lead the production of the packets, integrating service learning with cultural engagement.
“We are incredibly grateful for King’s Academy’s enthusiasm and partnership,” the foundation said in a statement. “Together, we are turning letters into hope and education into opportunity for children who need it most.”
The initiative highlights both institutions’ shared commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive education. Organizers say the packets will be distributed to children in marginalized areas throughout the country.
The Alsaid Foundation said it plans to expand the initiative with future phases involving more students and schools to build a sustainable, community-driven model of educational support.
